BOXING KANGAROO WINS BY TKO!

The Australian fighting tenacity and dedication to their national spirit were put to the test by the Olympic authorities last Saturday at the Winter Olympic Village hosted by Canada.

The 45 strong Team Aussie draped eight Australian flags adorned with a boxing Kangaroo over a two storey building in the Olympic Village.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) ordered the Australian to remove the flag because it violated Games rules with regard the display of a registered trade mark.

The Australian Chief Team Executive, Ian Chesterman said, "The Boxing Kangaroo is still flying proud on the building.

"We are hopeful that it will remain there. It's a situation where there is no commercial advantage in this market. It's not disadvantaging anybody by having the kangaroo up there.

"I think everyone recognizes that it's a great Australian symbol that has been to many, many Games."

It was then the heavyweight politician entered the ring.

If famed MC Michael Buffer had been called in he would have uttered his usual war cry of, “Lets; Get Ready Rumble” and no less a person than Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister without any form of bobbing and weaving stepped forward and  threw a heavy verbal right cross of, “RIDICOLOUS.”

With the adrenalin pumping fast Ms. Gillard on Austalian Nine TV Network, threw a verbal lead punch of "It's a scandal,

This was followed by a K.O. combination of, "I think we want to see a lot of the Boxing Kangaroo, particularly now that we've had this ridiculous ruling. So, yes, Boxing Kangaroos everywhere!”

The Boxing Kangaroo found fame when in 1983 when the yacht owned by the then tycoon Australian Alan Bond beat the World when winning the 1983 America's Cup yacht race with his famous vessel, “Australia 11.”

The Australian Olympic Committee later bought this famous Australian symbol from Mr. Bond. ~
